Fear Not the False Prophets

For God gives safety to those who follow him

What the Bible Says about the Wicked Watch Towers and other False Prophets

Are you afraid of the leadership from a certain Watch Tower church that does not allow its members blood transfusions? Fear not for I will share with you what God has said about the leaders of the Watchtower and what he has said about other “prophets” who claim revelation in this day and age.

We must be careful when we hear those who claim to be prophets in today’s world, and to beware of those who take or add from the scriptures.

God is clear in Deuteronomy 12:32 that nobody is to add anything or to take anything away from his laws:

“(32) Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take anything away from it.”

God tells us to beware of those who divine by dreams and visions in Deuteronomy 13:1-4:

“(1)If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, (2) and the sign or the wonder comes true, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let’s follow other gods (whom you have not known) and let’s serve them,’ (3) you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.(4) You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.”

Revelation was the final book in the Christian Cannon. God through John, tells us to not add or take anything away from his New Testament (Revelation 22:18-19):

“(18) I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. (19)And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book.”

Therefore, if anyone tells you that they have “additional” “testaments” or “scriptures”, do not follow them for they are in violation of what God has revealed to the church in Revelation. If they come with new laws or new ordinances, do not follow them for they are in violation of Deuteronomy 12:32.
